Why should I have my bins cleaned professionally?

Bacteria such as tuberculosis, salmonella, E coli., Listeria, Staphylococcus, and Streptococcus, constantly multiply in trash bins creating a health hazard. Our service cleans and sanitizes trash bins to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria in trash cans.

How often should I clean my bins?

This answer depends on, frankly, how dirty your bins tend to get, along with a number of other variables (personal cleanliness preferences, children, pets, outside critters, etc.).  We offer several different options to keep your bins scrubbed year round, according to your preference on frequency.  Options include Monthly, Bi-Monthly, Quarterly and One Time Cleanings. Click on the Pricing Page to find out more.

Why should I pay to have my bins cleaned when I can do it myself?

We’ll do a much better job than you could ever do yourself. We clean bins with extremely hot water (up to 200 degrees) under 3500 PSI. We use far less water and we collect and dispose of the wastewater properly and safely.

When will you come to clean my bins?

We will schedule your bins to be serviced on the day your garbage and recycling has been picked up.  We recognize occasionally the garbage collection companies like to surprise us and change up their routes/pick-up dates, so in the event that takes place we’ll reach out to coordinate a rescheduled cleaning service.

How do I sign up?

Just click any of the links on our page that say “Sign Up!” and then fill out the form.  Once registered, we will get you scheduled and send you a notification for your first service. You will only be charged after service has been completed, and you will get a receipt via email after each service. You will receive email/text reminders leading up to all of your upcoming service visits.

Do I need to keep payment info on file?

Yes, you will need to enter your payment information into our secure payment portal. You will have to select the option to allow Bin Bath to charge in the future. Once that has been done, we will get you set up on the schedule and notify you of your first cleaning.

How soon can you get here?

We will make every effort to get to your bins as soon as possible. Our routes are established to optimize efficiency and minimize multiple trips into the same neighborhood on consecutive weeks. We always schedule our clients for the day of their normal trash/recycle pick up day to ensure empty bins for cleaning. Our sophisticated routing software allows us to efficiently plan the fastest route possible.

Do we use hazardous chemicals?

No, we use an environmentally friendly, biodegradable deodorizer that contains natural essential oils to effectively neutralize odors.

Is this a subscription service? Am I locked in?

Bin Bath operates a bit like a utility payment you’d ordinarily incur/make –  kind of like your trash pickup service. You consistently produce and dispose of trash, so we offer consistent service plans according to your frequency and cleanliness needs – Monthly, Bi-Monthly, or Quarterly.  That said, you can adjust the service interval, pause service for events such as vacation, reschedule, or stop at any time.

How will I know that Bin Bath is coming?

Once you’ve signed up, we will schedule you as soon as possible and notify you of the first service date. Leading up to your cleaning visits, you will receive a text/email notice in advance of the day of service, and also the morning of service, as a reminder to leave your bins outside for us!

What if I need to reschedule a service?

We understand that things such as vacation and medical events happen.  We kindly ask that you let us know with as much advanced notice as possible.  With our text/email reminder system, we will make it as easy as possible for you to facilitate a rescheduling, however please note it may be up to multiple weeks before we can coordinate you back on the schedule as our routes typically dictate the rescheduling timeframe. If you alert us in advance there will be no charge to be rescheduled.  If communication has not been made in advance by the client, and the bins are not present, the client may be subject to a rescheduling or cleaning-service fee.

Will my bins be spotless?

The happiness of our customer base is always our #1 priority.  We will make every effort to get your bins as clean as possible, with the goal of them looking brand new.  That said, the reality is that most trash bins have been heavily abused for many years. We will use several different techniques to remove stubborn stains and gunk, but sometimes it takes multiple treatments to get everything off the inside. This is another reason we recommend our subscription plans. Your bins will continue to get better and better with each treatment.  All this said, if you are not happy with the result, then we are not happy. Please reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns, and we will do what it takes to make it right for you!

Does Bin Bath work year round? What about bad or cold weather?

Trash piles up year-round, so we absolutely keep operating year-round!  The Winter season presents challenges, and the cleaning mechanisms of the truck will not operate properly in a polar vortex. To plan for such an event, we have scheduled our cleaning rotations (monthly = every 4 weeks, bi-monthly = every 8 weeks, quarterly = every 12 weeks) to provide “slack” in the calendar so we have extra time to provide your cleaning services over the winter months.  If, due to inclement/winter weather, we are not able to service your bins, we will reschedule your service at a date in the near future. If we can’t get it done in a timely fashion, no need to worry, you are only charged after you have been serviced.
